SANDRO SCALIA SANDRO SCALIA (Ragusa 1959) took his Diploma in Photography in Milan at the Umanitaria, and in Decoration at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Palermo. After a long period in Milan he returned to live in Palermo in 1990. At the Recontres Internationales de la Photographie in Arles 1995, he won a prize for his work "L'occhio insolente" at the Galerie d'Essai. In 1996 he won the Premio Portfolio in "Modena Fotografia". In the same year he set up the exhibition and edited the volume "Ispirandosi all Órto, fotografie dal 1870 al 1996" for the Bicentenary of the Botanical Garden of Palermo. He currently holds the chair of Photography at the the Accademia di Belle Arti in Palermo. He has exhibited in numerous national and international galleries.
